You should start an online business.
That’s what we tell you. That’s what others tell you. It’s the easy thing to say.
But for many, there is a slight problem. How do you build a business when you feel like you’re not good at anything?
Or what if you don’t have any interests? What do you do?
Sadly, a number of people like to fake it until they make it. They’ll pretend they’ve accomplished things and talk as though they have all of the knowledge in the world, but usually, that isn’t the case at all.
Plus, it can feel kind of sketchy to go that route. Lying to people? Meh.
So then the question becomes what do you actually do if you do want to start an online business, but don’t have any skills or knowledge?
That’s what I’m going to show you in this post. How to start something from scratch, build a loyal following, and make a healthy amount of money while doing it.
First, we have to ask a question.
What Do People Want?
This is an important question to ask because if you understand what people want then you understand what to sell them.
And the only thing that people want is improvement. They just want to improve their lives in many different ways.
So if you want to build a successful business, then you have to sell people on improvement. That still doesn’t sound easy if you’re coming at this without any experience.
Let’s ask another question.
Who Do People Trust?
Let’s assume that people only buy from those that they trust. If they trust you then they’ll buy from you so what causes someone to trust another person?
There can be a number of things, but one of them is that they’ve seen the person do the thing that they want.
For example, if I wanted to lose weight, then it would be great to see someone go through the journey of losing 60 lbs. Because I’ve seen them do it then I trust that they can help me do it.
And that gives the insight that we need to see how we can start an online business without knowing anything.
Before we see how to do it, it’s important that we understand one more thing.
Audience x Offer = $$$$$$
This is the simple formula that every business in the world follows. You can’t make money without some type of audience and some type of offer.
The better each variable is the more money you’ll make.
And now we see another problem of starting an online business from scratch. How do you build an audience and eventually sell them an offer?
The answer isn’t as crazy as you might think.
Become a Craftsman
Many moons ago if you wanted to learn a trade you became an apprentice. You learned from someone who had honed their craft over time and because people watched that person get better at their craft, they bought from them.
They also got to see the apprentice practicing every single day at the craft so over time they had no problem buying from them.
But that was only because they saw the apprentice doing the work. The apprentice openly showing the work was the marketing and that’s the key for you.
Some like to call this Building in Public and it’s one of the greatest growth hacks out there.
How you do it is pretty simple. Whatever you decide that you’re going to build a business around you show people what you’re doing as you do it.
For example, we are learning Midjourney. It’s an amazing app and we are learning how to manipulate it in different ways to get the images that we want.
More importantly, we are posting on our social media accounts the different images that we are producing and how we are able to achieve them.

So what is happening from this is that people are following us and watching us learn in real time. When we do release an offer we will have an audience of people that have watched us learn Midjourney and therefore they trust us with what we’ve learned.
Only because we’ve shown them.
